Ear Examination/Consultation
£20
Consultation fee applies only when earwax removal is not attempted
Ear examination and consultation services include providing advice and determining if earwax removal is necessary.
At times, there might be no wax, or there might be contraindications for removal in one session and the removal procedure cannot be carried out at all. If this occurs, only a consultation fee will be charged. GP referral letter can be provided if further medical attention is required.

Whenever a removal is attempted, it costs £40, or pay £35 in cash and save, even if no ear wax is removed.

Earwax Removal —one or both ears
£40, or £35 with cash discount
Consultation fee is NOT needed
The specific method (e.g. microsuction or water irrigation), as well as whether one or both ears will be treated, will be determined with your consent prior to the procedure.

If the first attempt failed, the treatment would cost £40, or pay £35 in cash and save, and any follow up attempt costs £25.

I am able to perform paediatric earwax removal for children aged 5 years or older, provided that the child is able to remain still throughout the procedure.
*You are advised to use medical-grade olive oil for at least 3 days prior to your appointment to soften the wax and facilitate its removal. While this step is not mandatory, it is recommended. If the wax is too hard, the removal process may be unsuccessful, potentially necessitating a follow-up appointment. You can purchase one easily from a pharmacy or online. Suggested brands include Earol and Otex. However, please ensure that you purchase OLIVE OIL EAR DROPS and not other types of ear drops, as some brands such as Otex offer various types.

What to Expect

1
Initial Consultation
The first step is to thoroughly review your medical history to ensure there are no contraindications for earwax removal and to discuss a personalised plan for you. During this session, I will also take initial photographs of your ears to document your condition and you will have to sign a consent form before any procedures.
2
Ear Wax Removal
(if necessary)
As an NHS Accredited Practitioner, I will choose the safest and most effective method to remove earwax and will explain the procedure and the reasons for the recommendation. Following the removal process, I will examine both your ears to assess their overall health and identify any potential issues. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the treatment, final photographs are taken to compare the before and after conditions of your ears.
3
Medical Consultation Report/
Referral Letter
If additional medical intervention is needed, I will prepare a detailed referral letter for you to take to your GP, ensuring you won't need to re-explain your medical history and symptoms, and preventing any important details from being missed. This letter may suggest a prescription or a referral to an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist if required.
